On Monday, May 20th, the Boy’s & Girl’s Track Teams traveled to East Lyme High School for the Eastern Conference Championships.
Nine Teams made up Divisions 1 & 2 of the Eastern Conference Championship. Eighteen events were competed in, with the top 8 places scoring. Over the course of 5 hours athletes battled for the top spots. As the events came to a close and the scores were announced, both the Boys and Girls teams had come in 6th place. The coaching staff are extremely proud of every athlete for their hard work and for the incredible effort that the athletes displayed during competition and over the season.
Both Teams travel to New Britain next Tuesday, May 28th, for the Class Championships.

The girls 4x800m relay team, who came in 3rd place Monday, broke the school record, which was set in 2014 with a time of 10:17.00. The new record is now 10:14.60. This time also qualified the relay team to compete in the Nike High School Track Nationals to be held in Oregon.

The boys 4x400m relay team came in 1st place with a time of 3:28.64
