Your long-awaited Bacon Academy Graduation Day is approaching! Graduation will be on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. outside at Bacon Academy's John D. Jack Long Track and Field Complex, weather permitting.. If inclement weather does not permit an outdoor ceremony, the decision to move Graduation indoors to the Dave Shea Gymnasium will be made by noon on Friday, June 14, 2024. It will be communicated via email, ParentSquare, Twitter (@BA_Begue and @BaconAcademy).
Seniors and parents/caregivers should read this letter together, carefully noting details and expectations for Graduation. The following information is included:
Graduation participation requirements, dress code, and behavior expectations.
Mandatory Graduation rehearsal dates
Tickets: 10 total if outdoors, if indoors, 6 in the gym, and 4 in the auditorium.
Parking and shuttle bus information.
Seating, including a detailed request for information on handicapped seating/parking needs
Guest List: Page 6 in Packet: If there are Handicapped or Wheelchair Guests: This form must be returned by Friday, May 31, 2024 (Passes must be requested by this date)
Senior Processing-Out Form (Page 7 in the packet: due by 12 p.m. Thursday, June13th.
Enclosure from the Project Grad CommitteeThese forms must be completed and returned to Mrs. Ruszala in the School Counseling Office by Friday, May 31st.

Remember also to set your attending college or university. (This is how final transcripts are sent out). Google Docs and important papers, etc. and any information you wish to send to your personal Google Account; when you graduate you will lose access to your Colchester Google Account. Please transfer your important papers! Dual Enrollment Credits: This is the time of year when Seniors ask about their Dual Enrollment Credits that they have earned. If you have taken dual enrollment classes this year, those credits will be available mid July for you to order the transcripts. Please view our website for easy links to order https://colchesterct.org/page.cfm?p=589 It must be the student that orders the transcripts from our partnership colleges/universities. When you order they can be sent directly to your attending college/university.
