Cross Country and Boys Soccer held senior nights
this week. Seniors were celebrated for all they have achieved athletically over the past 4years.
The seasons aren’t over yet! Make sure to check out a game or too before fall ends.

Manicures for a Cure

The Interact club held the annual “Manis for a Cure” Fundraiser.  For a small fee, students had their nails painted pink. All proceeds go to the CT Breast Health Initiative to further research to cure breast cancer.

PSAT Testing

October 13th, 2026

Dear Parent/Guardian/Caregiver:

Bacon Academy will administer the PSAT/NMSQT test to all 10th and 11th grade students. Students will be tested on October 21st, and make ups will be held on October 22nd. 9th grade students will have activities in the morning. 12th grade students will have a delayed opening, and do not have to arrive at school until 11:00am, unless they take the bus to school. If a 12th grade student takes the bus to school, they will need to take the bus at their regularly scheduled time. 10th and 11th grade students should arrive on time and in the testing room for a 7:35am start, and the district will run buses on a normal schedule for the day.
PSAT testing locations will be shared with students through district email by October 16th, 2026.  Students will remain in the testing room from 7:35am until approximately 10:57am, except for students with testing accommodations. Because testing rooms are secure testing environments, all cell phones will be turned off, labeled and collected in a central visible location near the proctor during testing.
The PSAT will be administered digitally, so all students must bring their district issued chromebook and charger. The night before testing, please remind your child to restart and fully charge their chromebook.  Students who have opted out of a district chromebook will need to make arrangements to borrow one from the LMC on the day of testing. Students should also be prepared with pencils or pens on testing day.  Students may use their own approved calculator on test day or take advantage of the graphing calculator built directly into the testing application.
If you have any questions regarding the testing plan, please email pdragon@colchesterct.org.

Sincerely,

Michael Mal    Christian Marcinczyk   Paige Dragon
Principal    Assistant Principal   PSAT Coordinator

News from Bake Shop

Students in Bake Shop 2 learned the art of cookie decorating, practicing techniques to create some fall designs.  Thanks to a Perkins Grant funded purchase, we were able to use our new dehydrator to speed up the drying process, allowing students to add dimension.
