Freshman Academy was held for the first time on August 29th, 2023 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. We hope to continue hosting this exciting experience annually for each new Bacon Academy Freshman Class. The schedule of events held consisted of activities designed to prepare the students for their transition to high school. Upperclassmen volunteers and various staff members hosted a scavenger hunt, and a pep rally, and played games. While the class consumed a meal together at the end of the night, there was a club fair. Student representatives themselves tried to recruit new members to their clubs and organizations.
Parents and Caregivers were also included in the event. Parents had the opportunity to attend Chromebook distribution in the LMC, receive support for Ecollect form completion, and an information session hosted by the Administration in the auditorium.
