Dear Students, Staff, and Families,

I want to share a brief update on several important transitions within our Board of Education.

Please join me in welcoming and congratulating our newly elected members: Gussie Gilberti, Nancy Nelson, Cari Duigou, and Cody McNeely. We look forward to working with them and benefiting from the experience, energy, and perspective each brings to our district. Their willingness to serve the Colchester community is truly appreciated.

I also want to extend my sincere thanks to Donna Antonacci, Alex Oliphant, Rosemary Gignac, and Margo Gignac for their dedicated service over the past four years. Their commitment and leadership helped guide our district through both challenges and successes, and we are deeply grateful for all they’ve done on behalf of our students and schools.

A Note on Thanksgiving

As Thanksgiving approaches, I’m reminded of the holiday’s original purpose: gathering together and expressing gratitude for the year’s joys and gifts while enjoying a shared meal. In a world that seems to rush straight from Halloween into the winter holidays, it’s worth slowing things down.

Over the next couple of weeks, I hope you are able to enjoy meaningful time with family and friends—and hopefully plenty of good food.

Because Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to reflect, I encourage you to simply say thank you to the people who have made a positive impact on your life this past year. It doesn’t cost anything, and it often means quite a bit.
