Spirit Week at BA!

What a week for showing school spirit! Both students and staff participated in some fun and creative themed days such as dress like a teacher day, pajama day and a new favorite, dress like Adam Sandler Day.

Celebrations came to a close on Friday with an all school pep rally. Thank you student council for planning a fun week and to the BAMABSSADORS for hosting and organizing the pep rally.

College and Career Fair

Bacon Academy students participated in the annual College and Career Fair on Thursday October 16th. All grades had the opportunity to speak to over 100 college, university, trade, military and employment partners. Congratulations and thanks to our School Counseling department for an amazing event!

Reminder to Families

A reminder to students and families: We have learned that CPS students are utilizing the Town Green after school hours. While we support students in community activities, we remind all students that town property should always be respected.

ATTENTION SOPHOMORE PARENTS/GUARDIANS

The School Counseling Office is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar also known as HOBY. This extraordinary leadership program is scheduled for June 12th - June 14th 2026 at Southern CT State University. The HOBY leadership seminar is an excellent opportunity for sophomores to learn powerful leadership skills by interacting with dynamic leadership instructors and like-minded students from across the state. All 10th grade students are encouraged to apply!

An application is attached and has been provided to all 10th graders in their English class. Applications are due by 3pm on November 3rd in the School Counseling Office. Additional information about HOBY can be found at https://www.cthoby.org/

Bacon Academy Writing Center Students presented at the UCONN Writing Center Conference on Thursday October 16th. Mrs.Manning’s students did an amazing job presenting, and educating students from around New England.

Veteran's Day

Dear Veterans and Community Members,

The Bacon Academy Student Council proudly invites you to our Veterans Day Celebration and Panel Discussion honoring those who have served our country.

Date: Wednesday, November 5th
Time: 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM
Location: Bacon Academy Auditorium

This special event will feature a Q&A panel with our local veterans and the junior and senior classes, who will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from your experiences.

We would be honored to have you join us as we recognize and celebrate your service and sacrifice.

Th BA Theatrics Presents: Haunted Halls – Alien Invasion! is
