Chromebook Update

Families and students are reminded that all students should bring their school issued chromebook to school charged and ready to go each day.  Students who forget their chromebook may sign out a loaner chromebook from the LMC for the day, which must be returned by 2:10 prior to dismissal.  Families will be notified by phone when a second chromebook is signed out, to provide awareness for the responsibility of the additional device.

School Pictures

Dear Parents,

School pictures are ready!  If you pre ordered a photo package your student can pick them up in the main office.

To order, log in to your account on mylifetouch.com or create an account using your student's student ID number.

All families can also log on and order a FREE Digital SmileSafe card. More about the Smilesafe program here.

Thank you!

New Soccer recognition

Bacon Academy Boys Varsity Soccer Team has been recognized as “United Soccer Coaches Academic All-American Team” for 2025. This marks the third such national recognition in the past four years for our Program, quite a rare feat.  129 total Boys High School Teams received this distinction nationwide with Bacon Academy being 1 of only 2 Boys High Schools recognized from the State of Connecticut, the other being Hopkins School.  This means that Bacon Academy Boys Soccer is the only public school in CT to receive this award and it is with great pride that we recognize the player’s hard work in the classroom.  Congratulations!

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR FAMILIES:

Although the platform has been in existence for about two years, we are seeing an increase in usage of an app called Saturn.  With the primary purpose of helping students create a calendar, the app has attempted to load the school’s bell schedule.  Students that join have been able to add information such as their class schedule and teacher.

Our primary purpose of sharing this information about Saturn is to avoid confusion. The app is in no way affiliated with Bacon Academy or Colchester Public Schools.  As such, there is no alignment with our standards for student privacy or guidelines for electronic communications.  Families and students are therefore encouraged to consider relying on PowerSchool and other more secure applications.
