12 August 2025
Greetings to all,
We hope that you have all been enjoying a glorious summer break! As we make final preparations for the 2025-2026 school year, we have lots of news to share.
First and foremost, our first day of school will be held on Thursday, August 28th. We will run a modified 8 block schedule so students can meet all their teachers, then break for lunch before gathering for a Pep Rally and our traditional First Day activities. Students who wish to participate in the water slides should bring a towel, sunblock and appropriate clothing for the activity. All students will receive a First Day shirt early in the day to show our school spirit! Students who plan to visit the food trucks are suggested to bring for $15 for snacks. Friday August 29th will be a full A day schedule, but in the unfortunate event of inclement weather we will swap the Thursday and Friday schedules. Any changes will be announced via ParentSquare and student email.
We are pleased to welcome the following new faculty and staff to BA this year:

We have two important updates for the 25/26 school year which involve cell phones and dual enrollment courses. All classrooms are being outfitted with a cell phone storage device, into which all students will place their phones upon entering the classroom. Many teachers have implemented this practice in the last few years and we are making this consistent across the building to support learning. Students always have access to chromebooks during instructional time, and as always parents are welcome to reach out to the main office for urgent needs during school hours.
The second update applies to students enrolled in AP or ECE/dual enrollment courses. Enrollment in these courses will require students to sign up for and take the associated AP or dual enrollment exam at the end of the course. For the limited number of courses that are both AP and dual enrollment, students must sign up for one exam but may elect to take both. Students who do not meet this requirement will be rescheduled into a lower level course. Please see
this document for the full update.
