Legacy Portraits is excited to share their cover letter that will help families fulfill their senior's portrait needs. Whether it be for the yearbook or for personal use, the experience should be fun and seamless! Sessions are being offered through the summer and in the fall. LMC Bingo Reading Challenge
Step outside your comfort zone by exploring a new genre! The Bacon Academy LMC is sponsoring a reading incentive to get you started. Students and staff are invited to stop by the LMC and pick up a Bingo card to participate. Read a book from the genre in each square to complete a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal BINGO. Prizes will be awarded at the end of quarter 2 for achieving a single bingo, at the end of quarter 3 for a double bingo, and grand prize for filling the entire card by June 2nd! Check out the Reading Challenge Padlet for more exciting opportunities to share your reading experience! Join us for an ice cream social in June to celebrate your reading success!
Project Graduation
Time to get your tickets for Bacon Academy Project Graduation’s “31 Days of Giving” raffle fundraiser! Order by December 1st. The flyer has more information.
The School Meals Assistance Revenue for Colchester public schools will provide funds through November 30, 2022. On December 1, 2022, the district will revert to charging for meals. Please feel free to submit a Free and Reduced Lunch Program application.

Working Papers
A reminder to families that all minors are required to have working papers when they become employed. In order to receive working papers a Promise of Employment letter is required by their employer. The letter is linked from the State of CT in regards to working papers for minors. Please note that working papers can be obtained in the school counseling office.

Dual Enrollment Classes:
Students please check in with your teachers to see enrollment instructions to obtain dual enrollment college credits in some of your classes. ECSU, Uconn, Gateway Community College, Three Rivers Community College and the University of Bridgeport. If you haven’t brought your payment for ECSU classes, please bring payment to the School Counseling Office. Uconn registration, enrollment and payment are all online through their portal. Gateway, Three Rivers and The University of Bridgeport will be registering this month.
*New this year is our partnership with the University of Bridgeport: They will be offering dual enrollment credits for the following courses: Accounting I, Business Law (both 3 credits) and Pre-Calculus (4 credits) for $50 per credit fee. Registration, enrollment, and payment will be on a portal through the U of B - details will be given out in these classes.

Information about College Board
Test scores are being released for the PSAT and SAT exams for both Sophomores and Juniors. When the School Counseling Office receives any hard copies of your tests, we will contact the students to visit us and pick them up. Most times, students are notified directly from the College Board via email about their test scores being ready to view. College Board Accounts are not managed by the School Counseling Office and are only available to students.
