Important Winter Athletics Information

Athletes, please come to school prepared for practice on the 2 days you are in school. We have to limit the number of athletes in the locker room at one time after school. It would be easier if you were already dressed for practice and only had to change into basketball or running sneakers etc. Most athletes could do this at a safe distance from other athletes with a mask on. All athletes coming to practice on the days they are learning from home should report dressed and prepared for practice, right to the practice area with a mask on. Athletes will be able to store athletic bags for the day in the locker room but it is preferred that they don't use the locker room if they can help it. Locker rooms will be off-limits 7:35am - 2:15pm. They will not be opened for any reason.  Athletes are not allowed to use lockers or store any equipment overnight in the locker room. All equipment should be cleaned at home before coming to school/practice the next day. We know that this is not an ideal situation. We have put these protocols in place to help us continue to play sports as we move forward. MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES INSIDE THE BUILDING!!!!!!!  All athletes should use the door by the girls locker to enter Bacon for practice. You can access the door from the back parking lot at BA. Parent drop off and pick up should be from the back parking lot.  Please visit the Bacon Academy Athletics department page for all Winter Sports registration and sport physical information.

LMC Weekly Spotlight Series

Our spotlight this week is novels in verse. A novel in verse can be described as a hybrid form of writing in which a structured story is told in free verse rather than prose. This style of writing uses vivid imagery and strong, precise language to create an intimate and compelling narrative. If you haven't read a novel in verse, this week's titles are a great place to start. If you would like to explore all the Spotlight Series themes, you can access the archived editions
