Last call for class dues. Please pay Mrs. Steele in room 2148 $10 for each year that you have not paid. Please pay no later than February 4th. Everyone should have paid $30 up to this point.
CAREER SPOTLIGHT SERIES ON 1/31
Bacon Academy is excited to announce our third presentation in the Career Spotlight Series. The series will spotlight a different industry each month. Students will have the opportunity to listen to people from the field speak about their careers. This month we will hBacon Academy is excited to announce our third presentation in the Career Spotlight Seriesave presenters from the following industries: culinary, retail and hospitality. Students can sign up for the presentation in the guidance office. Deadline to sign up is 1/28/22.

Sophomores!
The Class of 2024 is once again collecting class dues. Dues are $10. If you did not pay your dues in the fall, please plan to pay them the week of 1/24-1/28. This is only for students who did not already pay their dues this year, or for anyone wishing to either catch up on Freshman dues or prepay Junior dues. We will be collecting dues every morning outside the LMC.
WINTER SPORTS PAY TO PLAY
PAY TO PLAY IS PAST DUE: If your student is participating in a winter sport, a Pay to Play Fee must be paid. The cost is $180 per student per season with a yearly family max of $540. If you have a credit code from last year, please use it to pay on the My Payments Plus system located on our school website. You can pay your sports fee on this system as well, or you can pay with a check made out to the Town of Colchester and brought to Bacon Academy. Please complete: Copy of Pay to Play Form Winter 2021

Winter Sports registration is open
Registration is through PowerSchool Parent Portal. https://ba.colchesterct.org/departments/athletics. Athletes must have a physical on file with the nurse. Physicals are good for 13 months.
Bacon Academy Project Graduation
We are gearing up for our winter and spring fundraisers, including our Trivia Night at the Polish Club and Cornhole Tournament. We are looking for volunteers to help with planning these events - sign up on our website on our Current FUNraisers page:

We are also starting to plan our Class of 2022 graduation events and Grad Nite party - senior parents have been mailed donation cards and they can also be found on our website under donations.

Information about College Board
Test scores are being released for the PSAT and SAT exams for both Sophomores and Juniors. When the School Counseling Office receives any hard copies of your tests, we will contact the students to visit us and pick them up. Most times, students are notified directly from the College Board via email about their test scores being ready to view. College Board Accounts are not managed by the School Counseling Office and are only available to students. Students must keep their user name and password for access. https://www.collegeboard.org/ Please visit the College Board website to access your materials, or if you have questions concerning sign on, their direct number is 866-630-9305.
