Pay to Play Payment Starts March 21st
If your student is participating in a spring sport, a Pay to Play Fee must be paid. The cost is $180 per student per season with a yearly family max of $540. Please pay using our online payment system. Cash or checks made out to Town of Colchester are also accepted and can be dropped off in the main office. Please remember to complete the following form. SAT AT BACON
In March 2022, Bacon Academy will administer the required School Day SAT test to all eleventh grade students. Juniors will be tested on either March 23, 24, 25, 29 or 30. Testing dates and locations will be determined by March 1, 2022. The remainder of Bacon students will have a normal school day. A letter has gone out to families of 11th graders with more details.

AMERICAN LEGION CT STATE POLICE YOUTH WEEK
The American Legion and the Ct State Police announce their joint sponsorship of the 18th Annual State Police Youth Week. JUNIORS that are interested in law enforcement please contact the School Counseling Office for an application and information on this program, by March 1st. This program offers insight into the training, duties and expectations of Law Enforcement Officers. The program provides realistic experience, patterned after recruit training at the Ct State Police Academy. Cadets will participate in a variety of mentally and physically demanding instructional sessions. Overnight stay in a dormitory type environment is required. The program dates are Sunday, August 7th through Saturday, August 13th.
CAREER SPOTLIGHT SERIES 3/28
Bacon Academy is excited to announce our fourth presentation in the Career Spotlight Series. The series will spotlight a different industry each month. Students will have the opportunity to listen to professionals from the field speak about their careers and learn things about the industries they can't learn from a computer. This month we will have presenters from the following industries: Health and Medical Science. Students can sign up for the presentation in the guidance office. Deadline to sign up is 3/25/22.
Class of 2023
Last call for class dues. Please pay Mrs. Steele in room 2148 $10 for each year that you have not paid. Please pay no later than February 4th. Everyone should have paid $30 up to this point.
Junior Prom is scheduled for May 21st at Lake Of Isles located in North Stonington from 5pm-10pm. The cost of the ticket is $85 per ticket and will be available for sale April 27, 2022 through May 4, 2022. All obligations must be met prior to purchasing a ticket. Please see Mrs. McKiernan to make sure you are cleared!

Information about College Board
Test scores are being released for the PSAT and SAT exams for both Sophomores and Juniors. When the School Counseling Office receives any hard copies of your tests, we will contact the students to visit us and pick them up. Most times, students are notified directly from the College Board via email about their test scores being ready to view. College Board Accounts are not managed by the School Counseling Office and are only available to students. Students must keep their user name and password for access. https://www.collegeboard.org/ Please visit the College Board website to access your materials, or if you have questions concerning sign on, their direct number is 866-630-9305.
