Tuesday, August 31, 2021 New Student Orientation 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM 

Thursday, September 2, 2021 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. 

Monday, September 6, 2021 is NO SCHOOL.

Tuesday, September 7, 2021 is a B DAY. 

 

COLCHESTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT BREAKFAST AND LUNCH WILL BE FREE TO ALL STUDENTS FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2021-22. 

 

Please note  – students can receive only one breakfast and one lunch free per day, any additional items or meals will be at a charge. 

 

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION

 

New student orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 6:00 to 7:30 at Bacon.  It is the beginning of a new school year and it is definitely more exciting and unique than most years.  Please join us (in person!) and see what Bacon Academy has to offer.

BA First Day

 

Welcome back everyone! We have a lot of fun activities planned for this year's First Day of school, and we want to make sure that everyone is prepared.

Here are a few things to note:

  • Cafe lunch will be provided, but we suggest you bring $10-$15 if you plan on eating from the food trucks

  • Wear appropriate clothing and bring a towel for outdoor activities including a water activities

  • Bring Sunblock

  • Bring a mask as we will be ensuring everyone has a safe First Day

  • Wear your Bacon apparel! :)

  • Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated 

  • Please review the attached schedule so you know where to go on the first day of school

FROM THE LMC Chromebook distribution: Grade 9 and incoming new students.

 

 

Chromebooks will be distributed from the Media Center starting on September 2. Students may come to the MC before school starts, during a study hall period, or after school [we are open until 4pm].

Access to Parent Portal in PowerSchool for 2021-22

 

 

Colchester Public Schools District is requiring all families to update student information forms and review school-related documents prior to the start of the 2021-22 academic year. Families will be able to access the Parent Portal in PowerSchool in order to complete all paperwork on August 16, 2021. Families will not be able to view their student's teacher or course schedule until after August 16 and upon the completion of all required paperwork in the Parent Portal.

PARKING PASSES ARE IN ! 

 

Stop by the Bacon Main Office to pick up your parking pass.  The form can be found online.  Please be sure to have a parent signature, licence, registration and proof of insurance.  Don’t wait until the first day of school ! 

 

SENIOR PORTRAITS 

The second round of senior pictures will take place on August 13th, August 16th and August 17th at Bacon Academy.  The link to the Senior appointment site is live and open. Parents and students should also have received an invitation from Legacy Portraits to sign up.  The link is also included below.  Please call Mrs. McKiernan in the main office with any questions or scheduling concerns.

Information about College Board:


Test scores are being released for the PSAT and SAT exams for both Sophomores and Juniors. When the School Counseling Office receives any hard copies of your tests, we will contact the students to visit us and pick them up.  Most times, students are notified directly from the College Board via email about their test scores being ready to view.  College Board Accounts are not managed by the School Counseling Office and are only available to students.  Students must keep their user names and passwords for access.   https://www.collegeboard.org/   Please visit the College Board website to access your materials, or if you have questions concerning sign on, their direct number is 866-630-9305.
