SENIOR GRAD WALK MAY 31ST
Colchester Public Schools plans to celebrate the seniors in the Class of 2023 through a Grad Walk! All seniors are invited to participate in the event on Wednesday, May 31st. Bus transportation will be provided so that seniors can process through the halls of JJIS, CES and WJJMS in graduation gowns.
Clad in their graduation gowns, these seniors will walk the elementary school, intermediate, and middle school hallways, each lined with younger kids from every grade. Walking these halls one last time is a richly symbolic way to celebrate just how far all our seniors have come in their lives, and allow them to reflect on the experiences they will bring with them as they encounter new endeavors. Permission slips can be found in the main office, must be signed by a parent, and returned to Mrs. McKiernan by May 4th.
Junior Prom is Saturday, May 6th at the Aqua Turf in Southington, in the Glass Room
Students and their guests may arrive around 5:45 if they would like to take photos on the grounds. All students must arrive BY 6:30 unless they have received prior authorization for a late arrival from BA admin. Prom ends promptly at 10:30 pm; students who are not driving themselves must have a ride at that time. All students may be asked to take a breathalyzer, administered by school admin, before entering the event. Finally, students must be in school at least 50% of the day on the Friday before (5/5) in order to be allowed to attend. We're looking forward to a really fun night! If you have other questions, please email [email protected].
