What is Dual Enrollment?
Dual Enrollment, also known as concurrent enrollment is the process of a student taking college level courses that are also being used for their high school credits. This opportunity allows for the student to obtain a transcript from the participating college or university upon completion of their courses.
Helpful Reminders:
- To obtain Dual Enrollment Credit, the student must complete both the application process and the enrollment process, which differ due to individual partnership requirements.
- It is good practice for the student to keep a record of dual enrollment classes taken and the participating colleges where credit has been earned. This comes in handy when the student is a Senior and applying to colleges. Make a folder either electronically, paper or both.
