BACON PARENT COUNCIL WITH PRINCIPAL PEEL
January's edition of the Bacon Parent Council (BPC) will be this Monday, January 10th at 6pm. Due to the recent rise in Covid cases, we have decided to hold this month's meeting virtually. Please contact Mrs. McKiernan ([email protected]) to be invited to join the meeting. We hope to see many of you there to learn more about Bacon Academy.
WINTER SPORTS PAY TO PLAY
If your student is participating in a winter sport, a Pay to Play Fee must be paid. The cost is $180 per student per season with a yearly family max of $540. If you have a credit code from last year, please use it to pay on the My Payments Plus system located on our school website. You can pay your sports fee on this system as well, or you can pay with a check made out to the Town of Colchester and brought to Bacon Academy. Please complete: Copy of Pay to Play Form Winter 2021
Winter Sports Picture Day
January 27th from 230-330pm in the BA gym. Team pictures in the gym. Individual photos will take place in the gym lobby in front of our new BA logo backdrop.
CAREER SPOTLIGHT SERIES ON 1/24
Bacon Academy is excited to announce our third presentation in the Career Spotlight Series. The series will spotlight a different industry each month. Students will have the opportunity to listen to people from the field speak about their careers. This month we will have presenters from the following industries: culinary, retail and hospitality. Students can sign up for the presentation in the guidance office. Deadline to sign up is 1/21/22.
SENIOR Parent Ads
If you would like to commemorate your senior student in the yearbook, the Deadline to submit an ad is January 28th, 2022.

Winter Sports registration is open.
Registration is through PowerSchool Parent Portal. https://ba.colchesterct.org/departments/athletics. Athletes must have a physical on file with the nurse. Physicals are good for 13 months.

Paperwork & payment due by 12/6/21. January 7, 14, 21, 28, 2022 @ Powder Ridge.
Lift only: $220 per person. Lift and Lesson $310. Lift and Rental $310. Lift, Lesson and Rental $365. Bus is included in the fee. Coach bus will leave bacon academy at 2:30 and return at 9:30. We need 25 people to register to offer the program! Anyone interested in chaperoning, please call the rec office at (860) 537-7297

Project Graduation thanks parents and students for their support of our fall fundraisers! We had a great fall and look forward to 2022 as we continue to raise money for all class funds (Class of 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025) and get ready for graduation planning!

Information about College Board
Test scores are being released for the PSAT and SAT exams for both Sophomores and Juniors. When the School Counseling Office receives any hard copies of your tests, we will contact the students to visit us and pick them up. Most times, students are notified directly from the College Board via email about their test scores being ready to view. College Board Accounts are not managed by the School Counseling Office and are only available to students. Students must keep their user name and password for access. https://www.collegeboard.org/ Please visit the College Board website to access your materials, or if you have questions concerning sign on, their direct number is 866-630-9305.

*Please note that our annual scholarship booklet will be handed out to seniors in late February.
